TipoD® & Brakko announce the development of a CPAP
Brasília, Brazil - TipoD®, Brakko and UnB – Universidade de Brasília via FINEP funding initiate the development of a CPAP device to meet developing countries medical needs.

Brazilian ITU – Intensive Treatment Unit medical services have a lack of CPAP – Continuous Positive Airway Pressure units available in medical facilities around the country. As a result many human lifes are lost every year in hospitals, this situation is similar in other Latin America countries since the cost of Automatic CPAP units are high to developing countries, in matter of fact, medical care year budget never rise, on the other hand, they decrease.
The primary goal to TipoD®, Brakko and UnB joint venture is to reduce obits occurrence in ITU by developing an equipment that meets developing country needs: an efficient and cheaper CPAP unit. The project has to achieve a unit that meets international medical standards and is at the same time cheaper then imported units.
The estimative is to deliver a final test unit around December 2008. The sale schedule depends on both legal and technical requirements but is planned to July 2009.

Parks® & FINATEC to release a new line of professional routers in Brazil and Latin America
Brasília, Brazil - TipoD® altogether with Parks® & FINATEC partnership, to release a new line of professional products to Telecom Infrastructure use.

The Brazilian market is crowded of generic ADSL MODEMs basically imported from China, and a similar occurrence happens all around the globe. The leader manufactures in face of this problem has been introducing high performance ADSL devices, moving from Home to SOHO, and now to Professional Market.
TipoD® and FINATEC had the challenge to face this problem and solve it designing for PARKS® a modular MODEMs product design that could fit 6 different products inside, an entire line of high performance products on it. Among other critical aspects of this enterprise where the available time to develop it using Brazilian Funds for technology in 03 months. It pushed the Team ability to plan at a high level of excellence, having to plan, execute and deliver a solution to the mold design team in less then 90 days of work.
The project started on January 05, 2006 and in February 22nd 196 product design alternatives were presented at PARKS® headquarters in Porto Alegre, all of them compatible with PARKS® hardware specification. The final product design alternatives were innovative, beauty, slim, and timeless designs. These aspects were PARKS® requirements, established in the beginning of the endeavor, at late December 2005). From February to March 31st (the deadline), both engineering and industrial design team detailed the design and developed third parties in Brazil and China to manufacture plastic molding tools and plastic components itself.
